Lake Caldaro & Leuchtenburg
During your holidays in Caldaro or South Tyrol you have to go to lake Caldaro at least once! Lake Caldaro is one of the warmest lakes in the Alps reaching 25°C in the summer and its idyllic location bedded in between beautiful green wineyards attracts sun-hungry bather and its biotope is habitat for many species of birds. The ruin of Leuchtenburg enthornes majestically over the lake.Castelfeder above lake CaldaroCastelfeder – Tyrols Arcadia! That’s what romantic painters called the hilltop next to Ora/Auer. Indeed there’s a lot historic and prehistoric to discover! The Castelfeder biotope is a local recreation area which offers nature, calmness and reflections.
Rastenbachklamm next to Caldaro
The Rastenbachklamm is a wild romantic biotope with beautiful falls and typical canyon vegetation. The gorge passes the peace path and the St. Peter chapel… hiking through the Rastenbachklamm canyon will be a thrilling experience for children and adults as well, for sure!

The Dolomites… simply beautiful
The Dolomites fascinate many admirers with unique colors and landscape: the peaks and mountains glitter when the sun rises in the early morning and glow in a deep red color when the sun sets over the horizon. Lake Garda
Lake Garda is a short hop from Caldaro: just 120 km far from Caldaro. It’s the biggest lake in Italy. The northern coast is lined by mountains whereas the southern coast lies in lowlands. Beautiful cypresses, agaves, oleanders, cedars, olive trees and palms grow on sun flooded hills due to the heavenly warm sub-Mediterranean clime.
Venice
It could be very recommendable to undertake a day trip to Venice. Venice, the well known city in the salt water lagoon, spans over 117 little islands which are connected by over 400 bridges… that’s a must see!
